I graduated from Kent
University 16 years ago with a BSc in Mathematics With Statistics (2:1).
I started tutoring Maths during my third year at University and have
continued throughout my career in IT. My passion has always been in
teaching, but I have spent 14 years in the IT industry as a System
Designer and Programmer.
More recently I have
decided to move in a different direction. I have retrained as a
Person Centred Counsellor at Bristol University. I am now focusing more
on tutoring as I have a lot more time available. I have found that my
Counselling skills are helping enormously in improving my pupils'
confidence and creating good relationships which in turn provides the
best learning environment.
At present I offer
private tuition within Bristol, UK in Key Stage 2 and 3, GCSE Maths, A
level Maths as well as help with other certificates and
school/college entry exams. I also work part-time at Bristol Dyslexia
Centre offering Maths help to children with dyslexia.
I offer help to PGCE
students who are having difficulty with the QTS numeracy skills test.
I can provide
references if you require.
